❄️ ☃️ ❄️ Day 3 back from winter break is almost over, and the students are back "in the groove"! Teachers review essential guidelines for a safe and productive environment. Key topics include hallway expectations and respecting personal spaces. 🚍 Bus safety is emphasized, reminding students to stay seated and follow the bus driver's instructions. 🛝 Recess guidelines focus on promoting both safety and fun; from using the playground equipment properly to wearing the appropriate outer clothing and boots during the winter, further contributing to a safe and enjoyable recess experience! ❄️ ☃️ ❄️

👏 🎵 👏 Please help us welcome a new Bear to Clayton! Ms. Maino started yesterday as our new K-12 Vocal Music Teacher! Welcome to Clayton! 🐻 Ms. Natalie Maino graduated from UW-River Falls this past December and could not be more excited about her first teaching job in the Clayton School District. She lives in Baldwin, WI, with her family and dog. When she's not singing and making music, she enjoys drawing, sewing, and otherwise creating. She looks forward to making music with the students and can't wait to see what the rest of the year brings! 👏 🎵 👏

🏀 ⛹️ 🏀 The 7th & 8th Grade PFC Middle School Girls' Basketball practice will start Thursday, January 2nd. Practice will be in Clayton from 4:00 to 5:00 pm. There will be a player/parent meeting in Prairie Farm at 5:15 pm following our practice on Monday, January 6th. A van will shuttle Clayton players to practice when in Prairie Farm and will make a return trip home after practice. 🏀 ⛹️ 🏀

🗓️ The Clayton Trap Team will be having an information meeting for new and existing trap shooters on Monday, January 13th, at 6 PM. Come join the fun! 🗓️ This meeting is open to homeschooled youth and students of other districts who do not offer trap shooting.

Pledge of Allegiance Day 2024 🇺🇲 Congress formally gave recognition for the Pledge of Allegiance on December 28, 1945 🇺🇲 The 1st version was written in 1885 by Union Army Captain George Thatcher Balch, who authored a book on how to teach patriotism to children in public schools. 🇺🇲 In 1892, Francis Bellamy revised Blach's verse as part of a magazine promotion surrounding the celebration of the 400th anniversary of Christopher Columbus' arrival in the Americas. 🇺🇲 On Flag Day in 1954, Congress added the words "under God" in response to the anti-Communist opinion sweeping the country during the Cold War. 🇺🇲 We proudly start each day at the school with the Pledge of Allegiance after morning announcements!
