🏀 ⛹️ 🏀 The 7th & 8th Grade PFC Middle School Girls' Basketball practice will start Thursday, January 2nd. Practice will be in Clayton from 4:00 to 5:00 pm. There will be a player/parent meeting in Prairie Farm at 5:15 pm following our practice on Monday, January 6th.
A van will shuttle Clayton players to practice when in Prairie Farm and will make a return trip home after practice. 🏀 ⛹️ 🏀
🗓️ The Clayton Trap Team will be having an information meeting for new and existing trap shooters on Monday, January 13th, at 6 PM. Come join the fun! 🗓️ This meeting is open to homeschooled youth and students of other districts who do not offer trap shooting.

🇺🇲 The 1st version was written in 1885 by Union Army Captain George Thatcher Balch, who authored a book on how to teach patriotism to children in public schools.
🇺🇲 In 1892, Francis Bellamy revised Blach's verse as part of a magazine promotion surrounding the celebration of the 400th anniversary of Christopher Columbus' arrival in the Americas.
🇺🇲 On Flag Day in 1954, Congress added the words "under God" in response to the anti-Communist opinion sweeping the country during the Cold War.
🇺🇲 We proudly start each day at the school with the Pledge of Allegiance after morning announcements!

🍪 🖼️ 🍪 Did you know that you can eat art? Last night, Ms. Meyer baked 130 cookies for a cookie lesson today! High school classes made the Royal Icing this morning, and then elementary classes tried their hands at flood icing, sprinkles, and more throughout the day! And when we say 'tried their hands,' there may have been finger-licking going on! 😂 😋 🍪
🌌 🚀 🌠 Today, students in grades JK-8 got an up-close look at the Mobile Planetarium from CESA #11 and consultant Chuck Holicky. Students were taught about the constellations and their different positions in the sky, depending on the time of day/year. They also learned how the length of daylight changes with the seasons. This was such an awesome experience for our Bears! Thank you, CESA and Chuck!🌕 🌔 🌓
