📢 Calling all Clayton alumni - how's life treating you these days? Clayton School District is starting a new social media campaign, "Where are they?" Wednesday, - we would like to encourage our alums to return to their roots and share their post-Clayton tales with the Bears community!🐻 If you're interested, feel free to send us an update about your life after graduation, especially if they're directly connected to significant events in your educational experiences here at Clayton. We suggest interesting turns your career has taken, opportunities that a Claytonian education has opened up for you, or whatever else you think would be prudent to publicly share with CSD's social media pages. Send updates to socialmedia@claytonsd.k12.wi.us

Million Word Club - For the next year, our challenge to students in 4th-8th grade is to read 1 Million Words! 📖 As students read, they are asked to fill out a form that includes the title, author, number of words, and a short reflection of the book. 📚 These word totals will be calculated throughout this summer and next school year. 📕 Who can reach 1 Million Words by the last day of the 2024-25 school year? 📅

Father's Day
Did you know....? 🇺🇸Today is National Flag Day. William T. Kerr gets credit for founding what is now known as Flag Day when he started the American Flag Day Association as a youngster attending school in Pennsylvania. 🇺🇸 According to the Department of Veterans Affairs, on June 14, 1777, the Continental Congress passed a resolution defining the colors, configuration, and symbolism of the American Flag. 🇺🇸 In 1916, President Woodrow Wilson unofficially declared June 14th as Flag Day. Only in 1949 did President Harry Truman sign legislation that officially made June 14 of each year National Flag Day. 🇺🇸 A vexillologist is an expert in the history of flags.
