The 4K students were visited by the 2025 Barron County Fairest of the Fair, Ella Briggs. She read them stories, shared experienced gained through fair activities, and presented each student with a ribbon! The children loved having real royalty in our classroom and are already excited for the fair next summer ☀️🐮🐴🍀

💜 🏀 💚 Practice for PFC MS Boys Basketball begins todat at 4:00-6:00 PM at Prairie Farm. There will also be a parent meeting at 5:30 PM.

4th graders got to enjoy noodle kugel and potato kugel after reading about this dish in a story. In the story, potato kugel won the competition, but in Ms. Peterson’s class, noodle kugel was the winner!🧑‍🍳 🥔 😋

Another Fun Fact Friday in 2nd grade! Today, the 2nd graders were "DISSOLVING CANDY PUMPKINS" in water, milk, vegetable oil, and vinegar. The students predicted, observed, and summarized the rate of candy pumpkins dissolving in the various liquids. We love learning and writing about science!🧑‍🔬 🔎 🧪

💜 👟 💚 The high school girls earned 1st place at the Lakeland Conference meet held in Webster on Tuesday, October 14th, naming them Lakeland Conference champions as a team!👏👏👏

💜🏐💚 PFC MS Volleyball heads north to Siren!

Lori Catlin is Anderholm/La Bounty Award recipient for 2025. Lori retired last spring from the district after 36 years of teaching. Lori taught for a total of 40 years in her career. The school board expressed great appreciation and thanks to Lori for her years of dedication to the Clayton School District. Lori has definitely left her mark in Clayton during her career as a Phy. Ed. and Health teacher. She coached track for 30 years! All of the boys and girls track records except for 7 have been accomplished while she coached. She coached two state championship volleyball teams. With all the success, Lori gives the credit to the athletes she coached. Lori stated how the "Spirit of Clayton" got to her, and that is what kept her here. She has made lifelong friends and had many wonderful experiences. Lori is very thankful for her opportunity to teach, coach, and be a role model for the students.
The district and the community are very thankful to have Lori Catlin as a great example of an educator for Clayton for many years. Congratulations and thank you Mrs. Catlin!👏👏
