❗Village of Clayton Notice: Emergency Alert System Test ❗ The Clayton School District will be conducting a test of its emergency alert systems on Monday, September 22nd, at approximately 7:45 AM. The alert system includes both indoor and outdoor broadcasts, and one of the test announcements will simulate a situation involving an armed intruder. Please be assured—this is only a test. There is no actual emergency. This drill is part of our commitment to safety and preparedness. Thank you for your understanding and support.

This month, our district-wide SEL theme of the month is Cooperation & Community Building! In 2nd-grade guidance, we worked as a class to build a boat using only tin foil, pipe cleaners, and popsicle sticks! Together, this class shared strategies, listened to the ideas of others, collaborated, and came together to create ONE boat! When their boat was put to the test, it was able to hold 42 quarters before sinking!
During the activity, one student asked, “Ms Donath, how did you make it hold so many quarters?!” and with that question, Ms Donath was able to give the best response, “You ALL did that together!!” 🛶

While at Walmart, she purchased $35 worth of items, each costing a mere nickel, and distributed them across several schools.
